The center of this pendant is a heart shape cabochon made of rosarita glass, This pendant has a warm feeling from the jewelers brass and bronze that have golden hues and bring out the red of the center cabochon. Ive also added a sterling silver border and heavy sterling silver bail.
I have used fancy border and bezel wire that looks like flames licking upwards and around, adding to the feeling of heat and passion.
This would be a special gift for someone that you love.
This pendant has been given a heavy deep patina and then brushed to highlight some spots giving the whole piece a nice worn and weathered look.
Rosarita glass is a vibrant red or orange, silica-based, gold-infused slag byproduct from 1960s–70s gold refining, often sourced from Alaskan sand. Due to the cessation of this smelting technique, it is now considered a rare, collectible material highly valued in jewelry.
