Evil Eye Talisman Pendant, Blue Ice Glacierite (Aluminum Slag) Made in New Hampshire, USA.
For thousands of years humans have been wearing some version of an evil eye talisman. And right now, people are reaching for these ancient symbols of protection that help remind us that we do have power and we can find strength. Call them, talismen, amulets, charms, totems… whatever your choice, they can help one focus, calm themselves, and provide a sense of strength.
If you are one of those people, I can’t promise this pendant will save you from harm, but I can promise that it was made with intention, with love and will feel very good on.
This stone is man made mineral marketed as Blue Ice Glacierite. It is not dyed. From the interwebs: Blue Ice Glacierite is a newly discovered mineral from Indonesia that is in the Beta-Aluminate family of hard ceramics; the chemical composition of the material is a Sodium-Aluminum Oxide. It is very hard (Sapphire is also an Aluminum Oxide.) Blue Ice Glacierite was formed as the unintended artifact of an industrial process or smelting, like many other materials used in the Mineral and Jewelry trade such as Zincite, Fordite, Swedish Blue Glass, and Leland Blue. Blue Ice Glacierite contains trace elements of Cobalt and Vanadium that cause the vivid blue coloration. There are some who attribute metaphysical properties to this material as they do others, Ill leave you to do your own researching and thinking about that.
Both sides are fully decorated. Ships with the cord shown.

This piece is totally handcrafted by me in my studio in the forested state of New Hampshire, USA using files, hammers, saws, punches and fire.

Cord is 18” long.
All metal is solid Sterling Silver. No filled or plated metals were used in this piece.

Like all my work, if you must polish it in the future...never dip it or use silver polish - simply use a soft jeweler's polishing cloth gently.
