Butterfly Necklace with a Center of Carved Young Amber
This butterfly necklace shines with wings of jewelers brass and sterling silver. Its center is a beautifully carved teardrop of young amber. The detailed intaglio carving is of a hummingbird in flower garden. The back is fully decorated.
This piece is handcrafted by me in my studio in the forested state of New Hampshire, USA using files, hammers, saws, punches and fire. This necklace bears my new “W” hallmark.

DETAILS AND DIMENSIONS:

Necklace is approx 16” - focal butterfly is about 2”x2”Necklace fastens with a magnetic clasp making it easy to fasten and remove. All metal is solid Sterling Silver and jewelers brass, no filled or plated metals were used in this piece.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

The center stone is new amber - it is a soft “stone” and is susceptible to scratches. Keep it stored away from other jewelry that could scratch it. Also - never ever use any chemicals, abrasives or heat near it or on it. Like all my work, if you must polish it in the future...never dip it or use silver polish - instead, use a soft jeweler's polishing cloth and gently buff the surface to bring back the shine on the high spots.
